Did you guys know that Gene dated John F. Kennedy?  I didn't, I just found out like a week ago.  Maybe that makes me lame.  How long have you guys known about that?

Hey everyone....well, I was watching Leave Her to Heaven the other day, and it's definitely my new favorite Gene movie. Everything about it is brilliant and wonderful. :) I'm not going to spoil it for any of you who haven't yet seen it, but the ending is just.....gahhh, SO satisfying!

So....case in point = What is YOUR favorite Gene movie, and why??

Hey, folks! I'm Maggie & I'm eighteen & I'm very excited to have come across this community because I adore Gene Tierney! (well duh ;]).

Name - Maggie (or Mags for short :]).
Location - New York.
Favourite Actors - Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, Gregory Peck, Bing Crosby, Henry Fonda, Johnny Depp (teehee<3).
Favourite Actresses - Lucille Ball (I'm definitely one of the biggest Lucy fans evereverEVER), Bette Davis, Katharine Hepburn, Gene Tierney, Greer Garson, Ingrid Bergman, Audrey Hepburn.
Favourite Films - All About Eve, The Sound of Music, Rebecca, Notorious, Laura, Love Actually, Titanic.
Favourite Books - To Kill a Mockingbird, A Tale of Two Cities, Rebecca, Love, Lucy, The Secret Life of Bees.
Other pieces of info - I've only seen two Gene Tierney movies, Laura and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, but I just love her, and I hope that eventually I'll have seen more of her movies! Laura is my favorite Gene movie (although I LOVE TGaMM and think that it is a sweet, poignant story); I think I was around thirteen or fourteen when I first saw it and I was just like, captivated. Who doesn't want to be Laura? I also have Self-Portrait, Gene Tierney's autobio, which I started reading a few months ago and then put down for some reason (but I'll definitely pick it up again soon, now that it's summer!). Oh, and this is kind of random, but can I just say that I love the special features on the Laura DVD? They're fantabulous!

Well, that's about it. :] I look forward to being a part of this community and to getting to know you lovelies! We seem to all have a bunch in common; I'd love to befriend you guys! :]

Hello! To make my introduction easier, I'll just post a small survey-

Name- Emily Williams
Location- USA/Connecticut
Favourite Actors- Leslie Howard, Fred Astaire, Richard Widmark, Gordon MacRae
Favourite Actresses- Shirley Jones, Gene Tierney, Bette Davis, Norma Shearer
Favourite Films- The Petrified Forest, Carousel, The Gay Divorcee, Romeo and Juliet
Favourite Books- A Tale of Two Cities, Romeo and Juliet- I love Shakespeare!
Other pieces of info- Gene Tierney is my second favourite actress because I just adore her, she was lovely and her voice was gorgeous! I have actually, only seen three of her films but, I keep pluggin' along and try to get more and see more. My favourite of her films I have seen is probably Laura for her character, everyone wants to be Laura! My second favourite is difficult to choose between Heaven Can Wait and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, though I think that second pick would go to TGAMM just because I love the whole story and it is so beautiful. I don't think that there will ever be another Gene Tierney, she was too perfect on-screen, and lived in a world of only the worst things off-screen. She was amazing. I also want to let you all to know that I'm the biggest fan of Leslie Howard that I know! ;)

Enjoy the show,
